The Village at University Park

These custom-designed S-2000 Hingeway vertical lift doors were installed in two different restaurants at The Village at University Park in Palm Desert, CA. The unique bifold door design pulls the hinge inward and lifts only the bottom panel upwards under the header, creating the maximum usable space, with very little interior protrusion. This is perfect for those who have limited space near the door due to HVAC, lighting, sprinklers, and speakers, or those who just don't want clunky garage door tracks invading their space. Opening these doors effectively transforms the restaurants into pavillions, and creates a beautiful, community-centered space for eateries. Due to the smaller height, a typical hangar door or hydraulic bifold door wouldn't allow enough space for a walk-under opening.
